Galicia 2010
On the first weekend in February was, like last year, Galicia on the program. This year, wanted to Tobi, Michael, Basti, Siggi, Thomas, Bene Mortiz and escape the cold weather in Germany to do some nice paddling days in Galicia.
We met on Wednesday evening at the boathouse Brohler to the boats and our gear for tomorrow's flight close finish. After we had distributed our equipment on the boats and the weight of the boats to some extent true, we drank beer together or single pair. The next morning we broke
right on time at seven clock at the airport Hahn. There we were able to check in with no problem and our plane took off on time at 9:45. After a not so soft landing we arrived at 12 clock at the airport in Santiago de Compostella. In Spain, we have unfortunately not greeted with the expected sunshine, but with heavy rainfall.
After our boats were stowed on the two rental cars, we make our way to the first stream, the Rio Ulla. Once there the cars were quickly implemented, and it went off. After about 3 km shallow water, we arrived at the exit, but this was actually the entrance to the route we wanted to paddle, so we decided the following 4 km paddle ahead and get the cars to walk back. After a very beautiful and athletic track we were on time with the darkness of the actual exit. Our great good fortune we met on the lonely road immediately to a paddler and this one, did not hesitate and drove up our two drivers. We saved ourselves a very long walk through the night. Because the two drivers took so okay back one hour until they were.

We then made our way towards Rio Vez. ate on the way there and we stay in a small pension.
stood On Friday, the Rio Vez on the program. As some of us that already last year had paddled the river, we were in and out and that found the right people quickly. Most of the day We then spent on the Rio Vez, the bot with its waterfalls and blockages but also very nice heavy white water.

evening we drove into the village Castro Laboreiro, where we stayed overnight.
went out the morning's early to put the cars, because today we wanted to ride along with the Castro Laboreiro waterfall combination. After about a half hour came back from the car and Basti Thomas reacting and start we wanted. But Thomas had the room key in the car, which stood at the exit, left lying. After some discussions with staff of the hotel, no spare key wanted to get back, we had all the way to the exit and go back again. So it was then already well after noon before we were on the water.

The upper part offered spectacular white water in the upper level of difficulty, with a rather tricky forced passage, a worm channel, the end was not visible. As Thomas and Basti in place of last year still knew it was not a problem. Then followed a long portages before it went with interlocking white water up to the exit of the upper part. Once there, we decided to cancel the trip because it was late and we combined the waterfall not drive in the dark wanted. It was decided, next year directly to start here and zuknacken finally the combination.

Then we return to the airport. After a short city tour of Santiago de Compostella, we arrived in the middle of the night at the airport where we spent the rest of the night more or less comfortable on the benches of the airport.
The next morning we were able, despite some excess weight of the boats, again with no problems checking in and it went back in time in the home. At the airport Hahn attacked us first, the native cool temperatures and so we start soon on the way home.
On the way home we noticed the well-filled Mosel and we decided to make a detour to the park Rauscher. There we welcomed the Nice unfortunately with very little water, so that idea fell through and the tour thus found her happy ending.
All in all it was a super cool tour that has made all great fun and we were in the end we agreed next year and that combined with waterfall.
