Not much new
The last days were pretty boring. The work, as well as the environment here is very one-sided and blunt. For most of the work I have thus spent the familiar carrot to get out of the earth and to cut and then wash. Think any of you can imagine what a more exciting job that ... ... Wednesday evening was still a special job: 105 turkeys had to be loaded with cages on a rusty old trailer. A truly terrible job when you're an animal lover and the 10-18kg heavy turkeys sent to the quasi-death journey ... .. but what to do best - finally, Sunday is Thanksgiving in Canada ... ..
"Edited" were the really big birds about 250km north-east of Edmonton. I have prepared me for the "finished" turkeys declared on Friday night to pick up. The journey lasted super long and we arrived there only at about 22 clock. Most slaughterhouses around Alberta were somehow closed by the government because they were too lazy to pass that sent inspectors everywhere. The decision was thus used to have only a slaughterhouse for a radius of about 300km. Well - enough of these bloody stories ....
Thursday evening was then quasi times the highlight of the week. My 2 employees, a farmer next door and I decided to to a bar about 10 km away to drive. I could not believe my eyes when I saw the prices of the drinks: In Vancouver and Lake Louise has one for a pitcher of beer and good times paid like $ 18, here it was only $ 9 Accordingly, much I have of course been drinking, what is next day morning at 7:30 was noticeable on the field ... ... I'll say one thing, there is really no fun rumzukriechen, hung over in the morning cold on a carrot field.
As the Internet is simply grottenschlecht only entries are from here, unfortunately, very irregular. It looks similar with the pictures from the past 1-2 weeks. ... With the connection I just can not upload pictures. Sorry.
